Hi, busy Elk Grove moms (& dads!) Here's a super easy, fool-proof recipe that's sure to wow your family... from my kitchen to yours! 😉
Asian Beef Steak Recipe
Ingredients:
Sirloin steak
Bell Peppers
Green onions
Yellow Onions
Celery
Vegetable Oil
SAUCE:
2 tbsp cornstarch
3 tbsp ginger powder
3 tbsp brown sugar
2 tbsp garlic powder
3 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp molasses
1 tsp salt
1-1/2 cup beef broth
Step 1: Combine all sauce ingredients in a bowl. Stir well and set aside.
Step 2: Cut the meat in thin, bite-size pieces. Season with salt and pepper. Set aside.
Step 3: Cut the veggies in proportion sizes. Set aside.
Step 4: Heat oil in wok/large frying fan. Stir fry meat until both sides are done. Transfer to a plate.
STEP 5: Using the same pan, stir-fry veggies for 5 minutes or until crispy. You may add oil, if needed. (Tip: Cook the meat in batches over high heat)
Step 6: Pour sauce mixture on the veggies. Add meat. Simmer on medium heat until sauce thickens. Add water if it gets too thick. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
This dish is good served over pasta (wide egg noodles) or steamed white rice. Happy Eats!
Mommy Notes:
- you may substitute boneless, skinless chicken breast for steak
- for picky eaters, switch steps 4 & 5 to set aside a meat-only portion for those who dislike veggies. Save time picking out veggies from the dish and eliminate food waste.
Happy Eats!
