By Yolanda Garcia, Publisher MK Elk Grove March 2, 2019

Hi, busy Elk Grove moms (& dads!)  Here's a super easy, fool-proof recipe that's sure to wow your family... from my kitchen to yours!  😉

SPICY SAUSAGE BOW TIE PASTA

Ingredients:

1 box Bowtie Pasta

1 medium-sized onion, chopped

1 tbsp Garlic, chopped

Dry Red Pepper flakes (optional)

4-5 tbsp Vegetable Oil

1 lb Spicy Italian Sausage (can be substituted with mild or regular)

3 cans Italian Diced Tomatoes

4 oz heavy cream

1 cup Parmesan cheese

Fresh Parsley, chopped

Directions:

  1. Cook pasta as directed (see back of the box for instructions.)  Drain, set-aside.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a pan.  Saute onion, garlic and sausage, break-down sausage in small, bite-size pieces until golden brown.  Season with salt, pepper, and pepper flakes (if desired.)
  3. Add the diced tomatoes.  Simmer in low heat, covered for 12-15 minutes.
  4. Bring to medium heat and add cream.  Bring heat down to low.
  5. Add the drained pasta.
  6. Mix in parsley and parmesan cheese.  Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  7. Best serve warm with garlic bread.

Happy Eats!
