Hi, busy Elk Grove moms (& dads!) Here's a super easy, fool-proof recipe that's sure to wow your family... from my kitchen to yours! 😉
SPICY SAUSAGE BOW TIE PASTA
Ingredients:
1 box Bowtie Pasta
1 medium-sized onion, chopped
1 tbsp Garlic, chopped
Dry Red Pepper flakes (optional)
4-5 tbsp Vegetable Oil
1 lb Spicy Italian Sausage (can be substituted with mild or regular)
3 cans Italian Diced Tomatoes
4 oz heavy cream
1 cup Parmesan cheese
Fresh Parsley, chopped
Directions:
- Cook pasta as directed (see back of the box for instructions.) Drain, set-aside.
- Heat vegetable oil in a pan. Saute onion, garlic and sausage, break-down sausage in small, bite-size pieces until golden brown. Season with salt, pepper, and pepper flakes (if desired.)
- Add the diced tomatoes. Simmer in low heat, covered for 12-15 minutes.
- Bring to medium heat and add cream. Bring heat down to low.
- Add the drained pasta.
- Mix in parsley and parmesan cheese. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
- Best serve warm with garlic bread.
